Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria has announced on Tuesday that Turkish hackers have attacked their Web site at the time of increasing tensions between the two countries.
“Home ministry has not worked for a few minutes,” said ministry spokesman Thomas Shonel.
AI has indicated that the attackers were identified as Aslan Neferlen Team, hakërreve group, which earlier attacked websites of ministries and the Austrian Parliament.
The attack came after Austrian Chancellor Christian Ker and Sebastian Kurz FM forbade Turkish officials in Austria to hold referendum campaign on the eve of the presidential system deployment in Turkey, reports Kosovapress. Thousands of Turks live in Austria, while many of them have dual nationality, which makes this place conducive to the holding of the campaign before the referendum scheduled for April 16.
